What direction?

I believe that our federal government has become oppressive in its size, its intrusion into the lives of our citizens, and its interference with the affairs of our state. Is overstepping it's constitutional authority in private business.

I want to express my unwavering support for efforts all across our country to reaffirm the states’ rights affirmed by the 10th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. I believe that returning to the letter and spirit of the U.S. Constitution and its essential 10th Amendment will free our state from undue regulations, and ultimately strengthen our Union.

My roots go back before the Mayflower. I have family members that fought in every war this country has been involved in. Maybe that is why my love and appreciation of America is as deep as it is...

And on a local note, here in North Carolina.....

I also want to voice my stance against unnecessary spending, ANY bill that fails the constitutional test, the use of lottery and road fund money for things other than what was spelled out to the public that said funds were to be used for.

I am ashamed of our governor's public stance of taking not only North Carolina's "STIMULUS MONEY" but the funds of any other state that wants to do the right thing and not accept the funds. This country did not grow to the stature we did by spending our grand children's money, but through individual pride, responsibility, and work.

North Carolina IS NOT a WELFARE STATE and if it is headed to be, then I will be looking to S.C. Ten, Fla or Texas as my new home. Being born here, that is a hard choice to make, but at least I still have my pride and moral compass, I will not let it be tarnished by wallowing in the muck of "give me, give me, give me".

Thoughts of the day

Spending our way out of a deficit is like a heroin addict using heroin to kick the habit....

The only problem with socialism, eventually you run out of "other peoples" money.

How far left can we go? And how fast can we get there?

Thank you, all you uninformed voters who were hypnotized by the "shinny and new" packaging on an old worn out and broken product.

The product of socialism has always failed, we tried it here in the colonies at first, it failed....

Knowledge is power..... God says his people suffer because of lack of knowledge...

So we didn't build a wall.... unknown to some, we have people that would love to sneak in our borders and harm us...

We have a new path for those. Get captured on the battlefield as an enemy combatant, spend a little time in a Cuban resort, and if your country won't take you back, we will let you walk our streets!
